CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) is an independent, voluntary organisation campaigning for real ale, community pubs and consumer rights. They are part of the Localism Alliance.

The Co-operative Bank will provide free current account banking services for civic societies that join Civic Voice and pay interest on these accounts.

Considerate Constructors Scheme

Considerate Constructors Scheme

Construction sites, companies and suppliers voluntarily register with the Scheme and agree to abide by the Code of Considerate Practice, designed to encourage best practice beyond statutory requirements. The Scheme is concerned about any area of construction activity that may have a direct or indirect impact on the image of the industry as a whole. The main areas of concern fall into three categories: the general public, the workforce and the environment.

Member civic societies are able to benefit from a choice of insurance packages which have been specially designed for civic society activities – Society Basic and Society Broad. These are provided by Lockton Insurance and there are options to take out trustee liability and professional indemnity insurance.

The Marsh Christian Trust was established in 1981 and has two main areas of work; grant-making and the Marsh Awards. The Marsh Awards are in partnership with Civic Voice and are presented each year at the Civic Voice Annual Convention. Read more here. 

NALC

NALC
(National Association of Local Councils) represents the interests of town and parish councils in England – a total of around 8,500 councils. We often exhibit and organise events with NALC to publicise some of our campaigns. 

National Trust

National Trust

Members of civic societies who join Civic Voice will be eligible for a free day access pass to the National Trust (worth up to £14). If they are already members this can be given to a friend or relative. Further information will be provided after joining Civic Voice 

NCVO

NCVO

Civic Voice has a partnership with NCVO the largest umbrella body for the voluntary and community sector in England. Every group taking out full membership of Civic Voice benefits from free community membership of NCVO. This provides access to a range of services and advice on organisational, legal, fundraising and IT issues which complement the more specialist support provided by Civic Voice. Noisy Productions is an experienced team of event designers who also stock the equipment to make it happen. From conception to installation, they provide Civic Voice with a complete tailored package for our events. Although they are based in Bristol they provide this service to our events no matter where in the country it may be.

Parliamentary Outreach organise a range of lectures, training sessions, workshops and other events about how Parliament works. Civic Voice partner with Parliamentary Outreach to deliver our Smarter Campaigning Workshops around the country.
