Kings Lynn Civic Society

Activity

King's Lynn Civic Society (KLCS) is highlighting properties which have been empty for a number of years and consequently blight their locality and linking this with their potential to provide much-needed housing. Some are
near derelict, others in a very poor state of repair. Two large town-centre properties are being featured and at each one on Saturday (Civic Day) society members will be handing out leaflets to the
public. This will explain how KLCS is lobbying to get an improvement - and why it is so important that the properties are repaired and brought back into use. A list of the other properties has been drawn up and will also be
distributed.

A local charity working with homeless people is involved and KLCS has researched figures for the homeless and the extent to which empty dwelling management orders have been issued.
