Marsh civic awards
The Marsh Civic Awards are an annual award to recognise an "outstanding contribution to the civic movement" by an individual and a group. They first started in 2011 and are supported by the Marsh Christian Trust.
The first Marsh Civic Awards were given to the Wimbledon Society (Civic Society Award) and to Sue Nichols, Altrincham and Bowdon Civic Society (Civic Volunteer Award) from a strong shortlist for their outstanding contribution to the civic movement.
Gillian Postill, Marple Civic Society and civic societies for Oxford, Oxton, Kings Lynn and Nantwich were all highly commended for their contributions.
