Skipton Library is hosting an exhibition celebrating the town's conservation area.

The exhibition, which will run from today (June 8) until June 17, will be part of national Civic Week celebrations marking 50 years of conservation areas.

The exhibition by Skipton Civic Society will focus on the town's conservation area, which was established in 1969. There will be a guided walk and talk by Sue Wrathmell on national civic day, June 17.

The walk will start at 1pm and will be carried out in conjunction with the Woodland Trust. It will take in the waterworks in Skipton Woods, and must be booked on the Skipton Woods website in advance. The guided talk is at Middle Row at 4.30pm with no need to book.
