Sharing success

We collect information about what local groups are up to from their newsletters and websites, and of course through general day to day contact with group members. You can also find out what other groups are up to by following us on Twitter or by viewing the News section.

If you want help in establishing a new project, contact us here and we will put you in touch with a civic society who will be prepared to offer additional guidance and advice.

Civic society exchange trips

Civic society visits to partner towns are not a new phenomenon. Many civic societies have been travelling to other parts of the country as part of society social calendars and we are that it is something civic societies will long continue to do.

During the past few months, Civic Voice has been contacted by a number of civic societies wanting to be part of a network that makes it easier for them to get in touch with other groups when discussing policy, case studies, or when planning a visit to a different town. Although the avenue is always available to give out contact details and allow you to contact a society directly to see if they would be interested in a like minded trip, we thought, to make life a little easier, that we should dedicate a page to all civic societies who are happy to work with other groups in arranging exchange visits.

The following list indicates if a civic society would welcome a visit from another society.

  • Blackpool Civic Trust - North West
  • Chester Civic Trust, North West
