Following a talk with one of the Civic Voice team I decided to post my idea here.
When you have your AGM, could you make it more than an AGM - oh so boring!
Could you make into an awards event? Can you get civic societies to nominate projects they have been doing that contribute towards Civic Pride, then put it to a public vote and award a winner at the AGM. I have seen similar models work for other organisations I am involved in and I think it would be a cheap but very effective way to spread the work of civic groups and making the AGM a bit more interetsing!
