Become a trustee

We are looking to fill up to three vacancies on the Civic Voice Board of Trustees to serve on our board from December 2024 until December 2028. Are you interested, or do you know someone who might be? All applications should be sent to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) before 5pm on 17th November 2024.

It is expected that all members of the governing body are members and sympathetic to the aims of the civic movement. Trustees will also need to commit time to their induction, attending board meetings, promoting and representing Civic Voice, building relationships with civic societies, and developing themselves and the effectiveness of the board as a team. We estimate that trustees will spend approximately 15 days a year on Civic Voice business. This includes a combination of board meetings, sub-committee meetings, reading reports, and supporting operational activities.

The board meets about six times each year, both online and in person, and there are additional commitments, such as the annual conference and major networking events. This is an opportunity to truly influence the future direction of Civic Voice. You can learn more about our governance here.

If you are interested in standing for the board for a term starting in December 2024, please review the following information or contact our  Chair Martin Hamilton at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) to arrange a private conversation.
