Placemaking and Design Guides to be discussed at Civic Voice conference in Halifax
Charles Campion from JTP, who has been added to the speaker list for the Civic Voice conference in Halifax, will discuss the process and why civic societies may want to consider adopting a design guiide in their local area.
As part of the emerging Calderdale Local Plan, the Placemaking and Design Guide (as it will be known) will provide guidance to ensure that all developments in Calderdale deliver a consistent and high-quality standard of design, creating a rich legacy for the future. The document will outline the desired appearance of well-designed streets, neighborhoods, places, and buildings, and how development should align with and enhance the distinct character of Calderdale. The Guide will also include advice on preparing and submitting planning applications.
