Civic Voice launches fundraising campaign to respond to Government’s Building Beautiful Commission

The purpose of the ‘Building Better, Building Beautiful Commission’ is to tackle the challenge of poor-quality design and build of homes and places, across the country and help ensure as we build for the future, we do so with popular consent.

We need £5000 to fund research, round-tables, a parliamentary meeting and a conference to shine national light on a response from the community. Will you donate to help make this happen?

The Commission will gather evidence from both the public and private sector to develop practical policy solutions to ensure the design and style of new developments, including new settlements and the country’s high streets, help to grow a sense of community and place, not undermine it.

We need your help to make sure that the community voice is heard in this debate and not left to the private sector to shape the final results.

Civic Voice wants to undertake an independent review representing the voice of communities to go alongside the Government’s review.

The Commission's timetable highlights that will provide an interim report and initial recommendations will be submitted to the Minister in July 2019. We want to prepare an independent community response to inform the final Government report.

Will you donate to support the Civic Voice review?

We want to ensure that the community voice is heard and not outweighed by the private sector. An independent and honest voice that puts forward the thoughts of communities. But we need your help to make this happen.

It will cost us £5000 to organise round-tables, workshops and a parliamentary meeting to help inform our community review. Will you donate today to help us make the case for communities?
