We are a representative body who can be a voice for your opinion. We are involved in
* protecting green land
* monitoring planning applications
* influencing such bodies such as CCC, SLDC and LDNPA
* voicing opinion on road signs, building signs and street furniture
* instituing schemes to improve the appearance of our villages.
By joining the Windermere and Bowness Civic Society, you can help to influence proposed changes to your villages.
The Society appeals equally to those who want to participate in a big way, and to those who just want to be kept informed.
Several times a year it publishes a newsletter which is circulated free of charge to all members.
The more of you who join, the more effective we can be!
Annual rates are £3.00 for joint and £2.50 for single membership. Life membership is 12 times the annual rate. Cheques payable to the Windermere & Bowness Civic Society can be given to any committee member.
